What comes next? Normally you will call me
once each week for a half-hour session on the phone. Clients
are often surprised at the effectiveness and efficiency of
the weekly calls. For certain situations, we may skip a phone
session and meet in person for one hour the following week
instead. This might be to work on your resume or do a special
exercise that's best done in person.
Why can't I just take a few assessments, do some
research, and figure it out that way? That can be helpful,
and I do use some of them. However, many people have taken
lots of assessments and are still stuck. Having someone to
guide you and help pull it all together can make your dreams
come alive!
Are there other options? Yes. On occasion I
meet with people who are ready to change jobs and want to
work on their Marketing Tool Kit and other specific tasks.
I consider this my "consulting" practice rather
than true coaching.
How do I know you're the best coach for me?
It's usually an intuitive thing; it just feels right. And
I will tell you if I think you would be better served by another
coach! Like any relationship, it works best when it is right
for both parties. Although occasional "dips" are
perfectly normal, overall it should be an energizing process.
How do I know when I'm "done"? That
is an individual thing, based on many variables. Even though
there is no end to what you can work on with a coach, I occasionally
surprise clients by suggesting they seem "done"
(at least for awhile). Intuition and experience will guide
us.
